Privacy Policy & Data Architecture
We believe candidate biometric privacy is non-negotiable. Learn how our browser-first architecture safeguards your photos and documents.
Zero Remote Storage of Candidate Files
ExamKit is built with a client-side runtime. When you crop passport photos, whiten handwritten signatures, compress certificates, or compile PDFs, none of your files are ever transmitted to our servers or stored in any remote database. All processing executes locally inside your web browser’s volatile memory.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
Unlike conventional online conversion services that require file uploads to remote cloud servers, ExamKit operates under a zero-knowledge, zero-retention model:
- Biometric & Facial Photos: We do not receive, process, analyze, or retain any candidate facial imagery, passport photos, or visual likenesses.
- Handwritten Signatures: We do not inspect, log, or record handwritten signature curves, strokes, or thresholded image layers.
- Personal Identity Documents & Marksheets: We do not store or read educational transcripts, caste/category certificates, domicile proofs, or government identification documents.
- User Account Details: ExamKit requires no user sign-ups, passwords, phone numbers, or account registrations.
2. How Local In-Browser Processing Works
All file modifications—including image dimension scaling, centimeter-to-pixel conversions, ink contrast thresholding, PDF generation, and JPEG compression—are handled purely via standardized HTML5 browser APIs:
Image pixels are processed in your device’s RAM and never leave your operating system’s sandbox.
Temporary Blob object URLs are automatically released and garbage-collected once you navigate away or close the browser tab.
3. Anonymous Usage Data & Analytics
To maintain service uptime, diagnose site errors, and improve page responsiveness, we may collect anonymous, non-personally identifiable diagnostic telemetry:
- Aggregated Website Traffic: Standard metrics such as page visits, country of origin, browser version, and screen dimensions via privacy-centric tools.
- CDN Edge Logging: Cloud delivery networks (like Cloudflare or Vercel) may log standard anonymous HTTP headers (IP addresses, user-agent strings) strictly for security and DDoS mitigation.
- No File Metadata In Telemetry: File names, file sizes, image contents, and conversion parameters are strictly excluded from all telemetry streams.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
ExamKit does not use intrusive marketing cookies, profiling cookies, or third-party advertising trackers.
We may utilize the browser's native localStorage API solely to store essential, non-personal client preferences (such as your chosen UI theme or your recent dimension preset selection) so they persist during your session. You can clear this storage at any time through your browser settings.
5. Candidate Data Rights & Global Compliance
We honor international and national data protection principles, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act:
Right to Erasure & Access: Because ExamKit never transmits or stores your personal files, photos, or documents on any server, there is no remote biometric data for us to retrieve, modify, or erase. Your data remains entirely in your physical possession at all times.
No Data Selling or Sharing: We do not sell, rent, monetize, or disclose candidate data to any commercial data brokers, advertising networks, or third-party institutions.
6. Minors and Young Applicants
Many competitive examinations and educational entrance tests (such as JEE, NEET, or NDA) involve applicants who are minors (under 18 years old). Because ExamKit collects zero personal information, minors can safely format application documents without any risk of digital identity tracking or profiling.
7. External Links & Third-Party Portals
ExamKit may provide references or links to official exam portals (such as UPSC, SSC, or NTA) or tools within the Strivento ecosystem. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, cookie policies, or content of external third-party websites. We encourage you to review their specific privacy policies before submitting application forms.
8. Privacy Questions & Contact Information
ExamKit is operated under the Strivento digital utility platform. If you have any inquiries regarding this Privacy Policy or our architectural data safeguards, please contact our privacy compliance desk:
